This Omaha client knew exactly what they wanted: a hybrid sauna that left nothing out. No shortlist of options, no compromises - every bit of modern sauna technology they could want, built into one room in their pool house.
We lined the sauna in thermally modified alder, chosen for its warm colour and durability in a high-heat, high-humidity space. The heater is the heart of it - a hybrid unit with Wi-Fi and external controls, so heat and steam can be dialled in from a phone or a panel on the wall, no guesswork required. An auto-dose system takes care of water on the rocks automatically, keeping steam and humidity consistent without anyone lifting a ladle.
Infrared panels add another layer, giving the option of a gentler, lower-temperature session alongside the traditional hot sauna. Overhead, fibre optic lighting is set into the shape of the Southern Cross, turning the ceiling into a starlit sky once the sun goes down.
Set into the pool house, it's become the spot the client heads to first, whatever kind of session they're after.
